1 MB is the most common upload ceiling on the web. We find the lightest compression that gets you under it.

What this does
SubmitReady searches for the least aggressive image compression that still lands your PDF under 1 MB, then repacks the file. If your document is already under 1 MB, it's left as-is.
When you need it
Job application portals, university admissions systems, and many government forms cap uploads at 1 MB. This is usually the first size to try when a form rejects your file for being "too large".
What if 1 MB isn't reachable?
For documents with many high-resolution images or dozens of pages, 1 MB may not be achievable without hurting readability. We'll say so directly and hand you the smallest readable version instead.
Privacy
Your PDF is compressed locally in your browser. It never touches our servers.
