What this does

SubmitReady looks for large embedded images inside your PDF and re-encodes them at a smaller size and quality, then repacks the document more efficiently. Text and vector content are left untouched, so sharpness and selectability are preserved.

When you need it

Use this when a PDF is too large to email, too large for a slow connection, or just larger than it needs to be — for example, a scanned document or a PDF exported with high-resolution photos.

How it works

We never degrade text into a blurry image just to save space. If a document has no compressible images, compression gains will be small and honest — we won't pretend otherwise.

Privacy

Your file is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript running on your device. It is never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Will compressing reduce quality?
Only image quality inside the PDF may be reduced, and only as much as needed. Text stays crisp because it's never rasterized.
Is there a file size limit?
Files up to 150 MB are supported, since everything runs in your browser's memory.
Need an exact size like 1 MB?
Use Compress PDF to 1 MB (or 500 KB / 2 MB) instead — those target an exact ceiling.
